Epiphany.....

I had a great day yesterday.... not only did I have an 'epiphany' about why I was so obsessed with learning and researching;  but I achieved a great deal in consolidating and stream lining all my communication resources and my social media programs. (Yay for me!)

So, My 'epiphany'...... nothing earth shattering or ground breaking to anyone else, but it was a doozy for me!!

I've been consistently punishing myself mentally for spending hours upon hours reading, researching and learning through numerous web sites, blogs, ezines, newsletters, social media applications, and following link after link............

I thought I was obsessed (which is true!!) and creatively avoiding and procrastinating about doing any other work and focusing on my art practise....

Now I have realised why I have needed to do all of this (apart from the obvious reasons of loving research!)

To try and put it as succinctly as possible;  I'm a 'newbie' to social media such as blogs, twitter and facebook etc. as well as to marketing and business; not to mention that my goals and dreams have always seemed more fantasy than any possible, or achievable Vision.........

And so for me, all the learning has been essential (baby steps) to gain some knowledge and to put into practise some of these concepts.

Now the epiphany related to the fact that I needed to have in place, (almost second nature/ a routine and habit), a flexible working structure that I can then  'let go of', to stop focusing on, because then it will be 'under control' and  I can turn my attention to and focus on the next steps.................

So this 'epiphany' has enabled me to put into context what I am doing and the end result yesterday......

whew it was a major accomplishment!!!

Such a great feeling when you can see results.....

So instead of castigating my self........ I am now congratulating my self!!
